Lacrosse Stick
Buying the right lacrosse stick is crucial because it directly impacts performance, skill development, and confidence. Using the wrong stick can hinder proper mechanics and make basic skills harder to master, while the right one builds confidence and allows players to focus on the game.
Because of this, our coaches have a few sticks that we would recommend.
If you'd like to talk to someone while buying a stick we'd recommend either of these stores

Junior Sticks
Junior lacrosse sticks like the Maverik Charger Youth Lacrosse Stick, are specifically engineered to assist players at the 6U and 8U levels developing fundamental skills like throwing, catching, and cradling. These sticks feature modified dimensions and lighter materials to ensure manageable handling for smaller players.
Key Design Features
- Modified Shafts: Junior shafts are often shorter and have a reduced circumference (roughly 7/8"), making them easier for small hands to grip securely.
- Wider Head Shapes: Beginner-friendly heads have a wider face to provide a larger surface area for catching and easier ground ball pickups.
- Soft Mesh/Pockets: Many junior sticks come pre-strung with soft, forgiving mesh that helps "seat" the ball in the pocket, preventing it from bouncing out while a player learns to cradle.
